The mountain cable cars and skilifts can be reached either in a 15 min. walk or a short car or bus ride.

During the summer and fall months hiking and mountain biking lead you to discover breathtaking views of the Bavarian Alps as well as of the neighbouring Swiss and Austrian Alps. Mountainbikes and hiking maps can be made available.

Those who prefer to relax and sunbathe are recommended to spend time at the various mountain lakes close by. Also the balcony or terrace of your apartment as well as the garden belonging to the house invite to peaceful moments.

The cosy apartments, furnished and decorated in Bavarian style, equipped with TV and telephone accommodate 1 to 4 persons. Breakfast arrangements - from a bakery service for fresh bread and rolls to a served full continental breakfast - can be booked on arrival.

At app. 800 m altitude the former Olympic wintersport village is known as a charming mountain resort offering a spectacular mountain panorama and a healthy climate, recognised for its therapeutic value.

For those enjoying winter sports, skiing courses and the rental of skiing equipment can be arranged. The skiing areas are situated at altitudes ranging from 1200 m to almost 3000 m on the Zugspitz glacier, where the skiing season starts as early as the beginning of October and closes at the end of April.

Use the A 95 from Munich (ca. 95 km)

By train:

The "Werdenfelser Takt" trains leave Munich for Garmisch-Partenkirchen every hour.

The IC 119 "Karwendel" offers daily service to Garmisch-Partenkirchen from Münster via Essen, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Köln, Bonn, Koblenz, Mainz, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Stuttgart and Munich.

The ICE 813 "Wetterstein"travels daily from Berlin via Leipzig, Halle, Naumburg, Jena, Saalfeld, Bamberg, Nürnberg and Munich.

Every Saturday the ICE 1085 "Carl Spitzweg" links Hamburg to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
